  • Work data: issues, comments, estimates, agreements, time entries, and payment information
  • Technical data: SSH keys, API tokens, and git activity used for time tracking
  • Usage data: login timestamps, browser fingerprints (for magic link verification only)

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Freelancers platform
  • Process payments between freelancers and clients
  • Track time automatically via git activity
  • Send transactional emails (login codes, payment notifications, invoices)
  • Generate invoices and financial reports

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only:

  • With other members of your organizations (as necessary for collaboration)
  • With payment processors to facilitate transactions
  • When required by law or to protect our legal rights

4. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you request account deletion:

  • A 30-day grace period allows you to cancel the request
  • After the grace period, personal data is anonymized or removed
  • Aggregated financial records are retained as required by law

5. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access: Download all your personal data via the data export feature in your profile settings
  • Rectification: Update your profile information at any time
  • Erasure: Request account deletion from your profile settings
  • Portability: Export your data as a structured ZIP file containing JSON files

We use only essential cookies required for the platform to function:

  • Session cookie: maintains your login session
  • CSRF token: protects against cross-site request forgery

We do not use analytics, tracking, or advertising cookies.

7. Security

We protect your data using encryption in transit (TLS), secure password-less authentication (magic links), hashed API tokens, and role-based access controls.
